I can see clearly now the rain is gone...

At least for the morning! We have stopped the continuous rain and nowit is only appearing in the afternoon. We measured the other day 17 inches of rain in a fish tank that we left outside...and it has rained since then! Our property was flooded in various places, but it is already disappearing in many places. We are so thankful that the Lord kept our house safe and that we are dry!
In other news, Matt and I went to the Orlando Homeschool Convention on Friday. We went to look for new curriculum for our kids for the upcoming year. We had a great day walking down the aisles in the conference hall...browsing through all the books. We were impressed by all the material they had available. We found a lot that would work for us and we brought home a ton of pamphlets. We didn't purchase anything, because sometimes you can find the curriculum cheaper online on ebay. The cost this year is going up considerably, but we picked out some awesome selections.
We are also waiting for the insurance company to call us...for those of you who don't know, our loving boy William stuck something in the toilet and flooded half of the downstairs. My wood floors were ruined, so we are waiting for a final estimate from the insurance company. Matt and I went to Home Depot yesterday and selected what we wanted to replace the floors with. We also looked at paint samples..and found out that we don't see eye to eye on this issue. We haven't painted our living room in 6 years, so it is desperately needed. We figure, while the floors are up we should paint. Now, as soon as Matt can see that I am right we can buy the paint...lol.
Let the Lord wrap His arms around you today and feel His presence! Yesterday I was reading in Psalms and it talked about not forgetting what the Lord has done already. It ministered to me about how I at times forget how God has come through time and time again...he is so consistent and ready. And thankfully, he is so patient with me. Thank you Father!
